Friends since 1993. Back in the day always doing something, from racquet ball, tennis, watching movies and dancing to being cutthroats at the game of Spades. Remaining friends after marriages, families and living hundreds of miles apart and even collaborating on ideas but never finish from time to time.

Christy's wedding -- 1996

Hi! I’m Christy. I am a transplant from Texas to Colorado for the past 15 years. I have 3 kids, 14 (boy), 8 (boy) and 6 (girl). Until recently I could claim SAHM (Stay At Home Mom). I started working part-time at our school this school year as the EA for the Preschool program. After 14 years of being out of the workforce, it was a bit surreal. But I enjoy the little children.

I am the elder of the two of us, but not necessarily the most mature at times :0

I called Amy up recently with this hairbrained idea that we should start a blog! I do this a lot to the poor girl. I get her all fired up and then most likely it ends up on “the back burner” indefinitely. I tend to be a scatterbrain. (It’s really sad when you have to consult the dictionary for just the proper word to describe yourself – should it be “absent minded,” “flakey,” or “ditzy?” I mean they all fit!)

Anyway, I thought that keeping a blog might keep me motivated with my ideas, and most importantly “staying on task.” (I like this phrase, I learned it from the teachers at school, it so fits me!) I do my best “brainstorming” in the shower (I don’t know if it’s the stimulation of the warm water on my head or the alone time without children demanding something.) I have so many ideas and projects I want to do but really need the help of staying on task, I am hoping confident this blog will do the trick!

Hola! I am Amy and I grew up in Arizona and moved to Texas to go to college, that is when I met Christy.  I have been married for 16 years and have 3 boys ages: 13, 7, and 10 months.  I spread them out on purpose and I have savored the one-on-one time I have been able to spend with each of them.

My husband is in the Navy and right now we are stationed in Nevada.  We have lived in many places but I feel like I am home living in Nevada.  New Orleans was where I had the most adventure though.  You don’t run out of things to see and do.

I get my best ideas in the shower too!  I also get them right between sleep and fully awake — that might sound weird but true.  Like I said, on our home page, Christy is the more creative of the two of us but she inspires me so I am excited about the ideas that are already running around in my head to share.  Was that a run-on sentence?  Another thing about me, I am not a good writer so I hope you can forgive that and still enjoy our blog!
